What we collect on this website
We use two analytics tools to understand how the marketing site is used. Both respect your choice in the cookie banner at the bottom of every page.
- Vercel Analytics — counts page views and reports rough geography (country / region) without setting cookies and without identifying individual visitors. This runs on every page load. There is no way to opt out of an aggregate page count, but no personal data is captured.
- Google Analytics 4 — runs only after you click Accept on the cookie banner. Helps us understand traffic sources, page flow, and bounce points. Cookies set by Google:
_gaand_ga_*. We anonymise IP addresses before they reach Google. Decline the banner and Google Analytics never loads.
You can change your mind any time using Cookie preferences in the footer of any page.
What we collect when you contact us
When you submit the “Talk to us” form, we receive the inquiry type, your name, email, optional phone number, and message — plus the URL of the page you were on. This is sent to a private Google Sheet and emailed to our team. We use it only to respond to you.
We don't share contact-form submissions with anyone outside Athlio.
What we collect on the Athlio platform
The Athlio platform itself (the dashboard at app.athlio.in and the Athlio Partner mobile app on iOS and Android) handles personal data of students, coaches, and parents on behalf of our customers (gated communities and academies). That data is governed separately by the contract between Athlio and each customer organisation. We act as a data processor; the customer is the data controller.
Athlio Partner mobile app
The Athlio Partner app is for staff users at our customer organisations: community administrators, coaches, and security guards. It collects only what is needed to perform their on-site duties.
- Phone number — used to log in via one-time-password (OTP) sent by SMS. We do not use phone numbers for marketing.
- Name and role — provisioned by your community administrator when your account is created. We do not collect this from the device.
- Location (while using the app)— read only when a coach taps “Check in” for their shift, to verify they are physically inside the community geofence. We do not track location in the background, store a location history, or share location with anyone outside Athlio. The single coordinate at check-in time is stored alongside the attendance record for audit.
- Attendance, batch, and student records — created by you while using the app on behalf of the customer organisation. Same data-processor relationship as above.
The app does not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera. The app requests location permission at first check-in; you can decline, but check-in will be blocked until you grant it.
Who else processes data on our behalf
We use a small number of trusted third parties to operate the platform. None of them are permitted to use your data for any purpose other than providing their service to Athlio.
- Amazon Web Services (Mumbai region) — hosts the Athlio API and database. Personal data stays in India.
- MongoDB Atlas (Mumbai region) — managed database service.
- MSG91 — sends OTP and notification SMS messages to phone numbers you provide. Required for Indian DLT compliance.
- Zoho Payments— processes online fee payments via UPI / cards / netbanking. Card and UPI details are entered on Zoho's pages, not Athlio's.
- Google Maps Platform — renders the map used by community administrators to set up the geofence boundary for their community. No personal data is sent to Google.
- Vercel — hosts the marketing site and web dashboard.
Children's data
The Athlio Partner app is not intended for use by children. Students enrolled in programs are not app users — their parents and the customer organisation manage accounts on their behalf. Information about students (name, date of birth, attendance) is recorded by staff users on behalf of the parent / customer and handled under the same data-processor relationship described above.
How long we keep things
- Vercel Analytics: aggregate counters retained as long as the project is live.
- Google Analytics: default GA4 retention (14 months) unless we change it. Visitor identifiers are pseudonymous.
- Contact-form submissions: retained until we close the loop with you, plus reasonable record-keeping for follow-up.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to ask us what data we hold about you, correct it, withdraw consent, and have it deleted (subject to legal retention obligations). Email vijay@athliosports.comwith the subject “Privacy request”. We'll respond within a reasonable time, typically within 30 days.
For data we process on behalf of a customer organisation (your community or academy), please contact that organisation first — they are the data controller for that information.
Account deletion
To delete your Athlio Partner mobile app account, email vijay@athliosports.comfrom the address on file (or from the phone number used to log in) with the subject “Account deletion”. We will deactivate the account and remove personal data within 30 days, except records we are required to retain for audit, tax, or legal reasons.
